Wisconsin Walks
Posted onby
During the month of October, we call attention to walking and the importance of drivers watching for people walking on sidewalks, parking lots and crossing streets. Walking is an activity that is part of all of our lives whether we walk to school or work, exercise or simply walk from our homes to our cars and the places we are going.
There are lots of fun events coming up across the state where people will be out walking. We all have the right to feel safe. Yet, in Wisconsin the number of pedestrian fatalities is alarming. As of September 30th, 32 people have been killed walking. We can all do our part to change this by driving at or below the speed limit, being alert and allowing people to cross the street. Watch this video to see how you can help. watch?v=jgfyzZBXZGI.
